Principal's Message

Dear Students and Parents,

Hello and welcome to the home of the St. Thomas Tigers! It is truly an honor to be a member of the Saint Thomas family and school community. Our teachers and staff members are committed to ensuring that each of our students receives the very best educational experience. As a proud parent of two Tuscarora School District elementary students, I take great pride in the physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development of your child. I am eager to partner with you to ensure the success of your children this school year and in the years to come.

The 2023-2024 school year will mark my 23rd year as an educator in the Tuscarora School District. Before arriving at St. Thomas Elementary, I taught middle school science for 17 years at JBMS and then served as the high school Assistant Principal for three additional school years. I’ve enjoyed other roles within the local community over the years including serving on different committees, coaching basketball, and youth baseball. My wife Jenn, and our two sons, Trey (12) and Beau (9), reside in Mercersburg, PA.

The vision of the Tuscarora School District is to empower ALL learners for their unlimited next! The elementary years play a critical role in creating a pathway for our students to achieve their goals upon graduating high school, whether they continue their education or begin a post-secondary career. The teachers, staff members and I are committed to ensuring that every student receives the necessary support at Saint Thomas Elementary School to achieve their unlimited next. We view our parents and guardians as important members of the school team who will support our students, as they work towards their goals beyond high school.

I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as your principal. I look forward to working with you to ensure we have a successful school year at Saint Thomas Elementary. Clear and consistent communication between the principal, teachers, and parents will play a critical role in the success of our students, as well as our ability to work together as a team.
